Three candidates file candidacy for NC President
Kathmandu, Oct 6: Three candidates, Gagan Kumar Thapa, Shyam Krishna Khadki, and Kishor Singh Rathore, have filed their candidacy for the Nepali Congress (NC) President in the party's 15th General Convention underway in Kathmandu.
For senior vice president, only Bishwo Prakash Sharma has registered the candidacy, while for vice president (women), Pushpa Bhusal is the sole candidate.
According to the NC sources, Dr. Chandra Bhandari, Devraj Chalise, Surendra Raj Pandey, Madhu Acharya, Dr. Minendra Rijal, Deepak Giri, Dhanraj Gurung, Govinda Bhattarai, and Dr. Chandra Mohan Yadav have filed their candidacy for open vice president.
For inclusive vice president, Jeevan Pariyar, Binod Chaudhary, Farmullah Mansoor, Sita Gurung, and Ranjit Karna have filed their candidacy.
Similarly, Pradeep Paudel, Gururaj Ghimire, Udaya Shamsher Rana, Amar Singh Pun, Nainsingh Mahar, Shankar Tiwari, Dr. Sunil Sharma, and Dr. Santosh Upadhyay have registered their candidature f open vice president.
For women general secretary, Dr. Dila Sangraula, Dina Upadhyay, and Rita Khanal have filed their candidacy.
As per the candidacy filing, there are three candidates for president, one each for senior vice president and women vice president, nine for open vice president, five for inclusive vice president, eight for open general secretary, and three for women general secretary.
