Kathmandu, Aug 19: Prof Dr Dhundiraj Paudel has been appointed as Chairperson of the Nepal Medical Council (NMC).

Newly appointed Chair Prof Dr Paudel took the oath of office and secrecy before Minister for Health and Food Safety, Nisha Mehta, today.

Prof Dr Paudel is serving as head of the ENT Department at Nepal Medical College, Kohalpur.

Earlier, he served in various capacities in different hospitals including Bir Hospital, Bheri Hospital and Bharatpur Hospital as well as the executive member and facilitator at NMC's Ethics Committee. 

Prof Dr Paudel is a gold medalist in MS in ENT surgery from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medical Sciences.
