The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Thursday that it had targeted a cargo ship that was delivering supplies for Ukrainian forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that its forces targeted a dry cargo ship transporting supplies for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the port of Odessa. It added that Russian armed forces continued to carry out drone strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure and vessels supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced that more than 231 out of 613 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight.

These strikes come amid reciprocal attacks between Russia and Ukraine that have increasingly targeted energy facilities, infrastructure, military sites and ports, as the war between the two countries continues since February 2022 and diplomatic efforts to reach a resolution remain stalled.
