Kathmandu, Aug 24: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gauri Kumari, has said that the music, sports and film sectors have been defined as service industries.
Responding to a query from Shram Sanskriti Party MP Harkaraj Rai in today's meeting of the House of Representatives, she said that these sectors fall under the category of service industries as per the existing Industrial Policy, 2067 and the Industrial Business Act, 2076.
Minister Kumari clarified that although these sectors will be registered as industries, the work related to industry promotion, development and regulation will be done by the concerned bodies. 
She shared that information related to the budget allocated to these service industries in the fiscal year 2083/84 can be obtained from the budget information system of the concerned ministries.
