SC denies interim order regarding Sudurpaschim Province Finance Bill
Sudurpashim, Oct 9: The Supreme Court refused to issue an interim order on a writ petition filed by claiming that the Finance Bill registered in the Sudurpashim Province Assembly could not be amended along with a review.
A division bench of Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Balkrishna Dhakal on Friday did not entertain the petition to issue an interim order regarding the Finance Bill registered in the Province Assembly. The order stated that whether the Bill could be revised along with a review would be addressed upon the final adjudication of the writ petition.
Earlier, advocate Maniram Upadhyay had moved to the apex court, seeking an interim order, arguing that the Finance Bill registered in the Province Assembly could not be revised or reviewed following the change in government. The province government had changed on July 13, while the province budget was presented a month back, June 15.
