Talks between government and educational consultancy to reach conclusion soon

Kathmandu, Aug 15: Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Ganesh Poudel has expressed confidence that talks ongoing between the government and educational consultancy providers will reach a conclusion soon.
At a program organized today on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Nepal Educational Consultancy Services Association (NECSA), Poudel, the coordinator of the education sector of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives, said that the 'Educational Consultancy, Language Teaching and Preparatory Class (Operation and Management) Regulations, 2083' was introduced based on the draft prepared by the previous government. He stressed that although these regulations were brought out of necessity, the government should prioritize talks with stakeholders on the matters of its implementation. 
Poudel clarified that the government shall consider the interest of educational consultancy providers as well as their service recipients, the students, said that the skills, experience and capital acquired abroad should be used for the development of the country.
NECSA Chair Santosh Khanal stressed that the government should reconsider the provision of security deposit of Rs. 2.5 million provided in the new regulations, as well as the conditions set for the office infrastructure of the consultancy institutions, and about the aspect of the responsibilities of students going for abroad studies.
