 Karnali, Aug 19: Karnali Province assembly is holding a meeting where newly elected Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shahi is scheduled to take vote of confidence today.

CM Shahi had registered a letter in the assembly for the vote of confidence. He was elected CM with the support of CPN UML on July 28.

However, the Cabinet expansion is awaited due to delay in sharing of ministry portfolio among the ruling partners. Shahi had announced that he would expand Cabinet after winning the trust motion.

In the 40-member Province Assembly, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has 14 members and UML 10. Shahi represents NCP.
