Kathmandu, Aug 15: The Noor-Ganga Talent Award (Pratibha Purasakar) Guthi honoured various personalities from literature and folksong sectors in recognition of their contributions to their respective fields. 
House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal honoured them along with cash prizes amidst a programme organised by the Guthi here on Saturday.  
On the occasion, Muktinath Sharma Neupane of Lamjung and Devi Prasad Banbasi of Syangja received the 'Noor-Ganga Child Literary National Established Talent Award', carrying a purse of Rs 100,000. They jointly received the award. 
Likewise, Chhetra Bahadur Gurung  of Syangja and Purna Nepal of Kaski were honoured with the 'Noor-Ganga Folksong Singing National Established Talent Award', carrying a purse of Rs 50,000 each. 
Similarly, Banamali Nirakar of Rupandehi was awarded the 'Noor-Ganga Literature Regional Established Talent Award' along with Rs 50,000, while Padma Dhwaj KC of Nawalparasi received the 'Noor-Ganga Folk Song Regional Established Talent Award' along with Rs 50,000.  
Aanchal Shrestha of Lalitpur was honoured with the 'Noor-Ganga Literature National New Talent Award', carrying a purse of Rs 30,000. Arjun Sapkota of Nawalpur received the  'Noor-Ganga Folk Song National New Talent Award', also carrying a purse of Rs 30,000, according to the Guthi. 
On the occasion, litterateurs Rambabu Nepal, Kamal Raj Poudyal and Pro Dr Sabitri Kakshapati were also honoured. 
The award recipients expressed their happiness and appreciation for the recognition of their contributions to the respective fields by the Guthi.
