Kathmandu, Aug 22: President Ramchandra Paudel has congratulated and extended best wishes to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on being elected the 23rd President of Bangladesh. 
President Paudel wished the newly elected President Alamgir for success in his new responsibilities and reiterated Nepal's commitment to further strengthening the long-persisting friendly relations between Nepal and Bangladesh. 
In the congratulatory message, President Paudel also expressed the commitment to deepen the existing multidimensional relations, along with the strong people-to-people connections between Nepal and Bangladesh, the Nepali Embassy in Dhaka stated.
